Claudia Meures

At age 13, Claudia Meures began learning saxophone with Nicole Schillings at the youth music and art school in Wesel, Germany.
After completing her A-levels she studied with Arno Bornkamp in Holland at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
In her 3rd year of study she received a scholarship on the Erasmus programme to study with Kyle Horch at the Royal College of Music in London. In 2005 she gained a Bachelor of Music and completed her Masters of Music in 2008.

Claudia has participated in Masterclasses alongside Jean Marie Londeix, John Sampen, Johannes Ernst, Claude Delangle, Daniel Gauthier, Steve Mauk, Carina Rascher and Mario Marzi.

Claudia was the prizewinner in the competition Jugend musiziert in solo and ensemble playing. Jugend Musiziert is a highly prestigious competition for youngsters in Germany.
In 2000 she won the national prize together with the prize for the best interpretation of contemporary music.
